Patricia (Trish) Hurford, MD, MS “Dr. Patricia Hurford, MD is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with subspecialty certification in Pain Management and Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She is licensed to practice medicine in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, North Carolina, and Florida. She is a distinguished member and leader in several Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation organizations; Dr. Hurford utilizes the most advanced techniques in interventional pain management and pharmacologic therapy to help patients return to work and a better and more active life. Bioidentical hormone therapies, exercise prescriptions, peptide recommendations, and medical weight loss are prominent in her individualized treatment plans. She acts as a supervising physician for many qualified and skilled nurse injectors.
Dr. Hurford attended the University of Missouri, Kansas City, where she received her Doctorate of Medicine and Bachelor’s Degrees in Biology, Chemistry, and Political Science. Dr. Hurford completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Internship and Residency at the prestigious Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. During her residency, she specialized in musculoskeletal medicine, pain management, invasive skills, sports medicine, electro-diagnostic medicine, and the outpatient management of chronic disabilities and medication management. In addition to a love for Physical Medicine, Dr. Hurford has a deep passion for Sports Medicine, even completing a master’s Degree in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University.
After moving to the Midwest in 1998, she opened a medical spa in Glen Carbon, IL, with her husband, Dennis M. Hurford, MD, who is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. Santé Medical Spa operated for several years, offering neurotoxin, aesthetic services, laser hair removal, and medical weight loss. This center was instrumental in introducing Drs. Hurford to the aesthetic practitioners and nurse injectors in the area, providing her the framework to continue her passion for improving how clients live and feel about themselves from the inside and outside. Since 2021, Dr. Hurford has been devoted to the clinical practice and supervision of fabulous nurse injectors and aestheticians with Glo.
In her personal time, Dr. Hurford enjoys relaxing with her family, sailing, hiking, running, and spending as much time outside as her schedule allows. She is an accomplished sailor with advanced certification and thousands of miles of experience in coastal and international waters. When not enjoying the water, Dr. Hurford dedicates her time to Mission trips to Haiti, where she provides her services at free health clinics and underserved areas. With the recent turmoil in the country, she now organizes telemedicine clinics to continue to improve the lives of those in Haiti.”
